Quotes
“Can you accept the notion that once you change your internal state, you don’t need the external world to provide you with a reason to feel joy, gratitude, appreciation, or any other elevated emotion?”
“Meditating is also a means for you to move beyond your analytical mind so that you can access your subconscious mind. That’s crucial, since the subconscious is where all your bad habits and behaviors that you want to change reside.”
Teju’s Thoughts
This week we’re diving into Dr. Joe Dispenza’s “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself.” I’ve heard Dr. Dispenza on many top podcasts like The School of Greatness and on Tom Bilyeu’s channel. But, for whatever reason, I hadn’t picked up one of his books yet. So, when “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself” kept showing up in my list of recommended books, I felt like it was a sign from the universe that I finally needed to read it.
Dr. Dispenza is a scientist, teacher, lecturer, and author. He has helped teach thousands of people to transform their lives by re-wire their brains and bodies. I’m just diving into the book, and it is already creating so many shifts in my life. The resounding message in the early part of the book is that our thoughts create our reality. We have the power to completely change our lives by shifting how we think and then choosing what to think about.
Let’s dive into the book together. What are you learning and discovering in “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself?”
