Teju’s Thoughts

This week we’re diving into Rachel Hollis’s “Girl, Wash Your Face.” This is another case of Audible’s recommendation algorithm being right on the money! I hadn’t heard of TheChicSite.com before, and I wasn’t familiar with Hollis’s other books. So, when this kept showing up in my recommendation feed, I was intrigued. But, I was super nervous because some of the reviews were a bit brutal. I figured that this either was going to be awesome or painful…

Hollis is the CEO of Chic Media, author, creator of TheChicSite.com, wife, and proud mama. Throughout the book, she talks about the lies and limiting beliefs that have held her back as an entrepreneur, wife, and mother. She gives raw, honest accounts about how she has worked (and continues to work) on overcoming these beliefs. Some of her stories are downright hilarious – I mean LOL in your car like you just don’t even care funny. Like your awesome big sister, she gives practical advice on how to step into your power and authentically own who you are meant to be in this world.

Let’s dive into the book together. What are you learning and discovering in “Girl, Wash Your Face?”
